Privacy notice

This website is run by Darcy Renouf, trading as Darcy Quinn Executive Communication, who is responsible for your personal information (the data controller). Darcy Quinn Ltd is currently being registered in Bulgaria; once registration is complete, it will become the data controller and this notice will be updated.

When you create an account we store your name, email address and sign-in details (or the fact that you signed in with Google), and whether you agreed to receive occasional email. We use these to run your account and send the emails you need, such as sign-in links and notice that your report is ready.

Before your first assessment we ask a few questions about your role: your seniority (required), and optionally your job title, industry, years of experience and who you most need to influence. We use these only to put your results in context, shape your development suggestions and suggest relevant Studio scenarios. They are never used to calculate your scores. Only you and Darcy can see them. Free-text answers are removed after 12 months.

Your Communication Signature™ (the online assessment of how you come across) is built from the text of your answers. We keep that text, and the quotes taken from it, for 12 months; after that the text is removed and only your scores remain. Scores are produced from the text alone, every score is linked to your own words, and you can always ask Darcy for a human review.

You can speak or type your assessment answers. If you speak, your browser turns your speech into text, which you can check and correct before saving. We do not record, upload or keep any audio. Some browsers, including Chrome, use their own online speech service to do this conversion.

If you choose, your device measures your pace, pauses, pitch range and volume range while you speak. Only these numbers are saved — never audio. They appear in a separate, unscored panel that only you and Darcy can see. They are never part of your Communication Signature™ scores and are never shared with an employer or sponsor. You can say no, and it changes nothing.

In The Studio, your private practice space between sessions, we keep the text of your rehearsals, your coaching notes and any phrases you save, so you can return to them. If you opt in to delivery observations, we keep the numbers only (pace, pauses, pitch and volume) — never audio. Studio rehearsals produce no scores. A daily clean-up removes the text of each rehearsal and its coaching notes 12 months after the rehearsal; the delivery numbers are kept. Phrases you save to your Phrasebook and vocabulary list are kept until you delete them or ask us to delete your account.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details; we keep a record of what you bought, the amount and the payment status so we can give you access and issue invoices.

We send account and service emails (for example, sign-in links, booking confirmations and "your report is ready"). If you join the newsletter or the Self-Audit list, you can unsubscribe at any time from any email.

Your answers, report, Studio work and delivery numbers are visible only to you and Darcy. If an organisation sponsors your programme, it receives only group-level summaries, and only with your consent — never your answers, individual scores or delivery observations.

We use these service providers to run the site:

• Lovable — hosts the website, its database and sign-in, and sends our account and service emails.
• Google and OpenAI AI models, reached through Lovable's AI service — process the text of your answers and rehearsals to extract evidence, draft scores for Darcy's review, write coaching notes and suggest phrases. No audio is sent.
• Stripe — takes card payments and subscriptions.
• Calendly — books consultations and sessions.
• Google — "Sign in with Google" (if you choose it), Darcy's Google Calendar for checking availability, and Google Meet for video sessions.
• PostHog (EU servers) — website usage analytics.
• MailerLite — the newsletter and Self-Audit email list, if you sign up.
• Your browser's speech service — if you speak your answers, some browsers (such as Chrome) send the sound to their own online service to turn it into text.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer is protected by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses where applicable.

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and data. Email darcy@darcyquinn.com with the subject "Privacy request". We will reply within one month, as required by the GDPR.
